We are a team that loves God and loves people.

Mike Wall, Senior Minister

Mike has served churches in Indiana and Kentucky over the course of 56 years. He attended Louisville Bible College and received a Bachelor of Sacred Literature and a Masters of Sacred Literature.
 
Mike met his wife, Nancy, in college and have been married for 54 years. They have a son and a daughter and two grandchildren.
 
Their most recent ministry was at Hibernia Christian Church where they served for 24 years.
 
Mike and Nancy are excited to be moving to Florida and serving and worshipping with everyone at Westside Christian Church.

Welcome, we’re glad you’re here!

We are a Non-Denominational Church guided and led by scripture and the Holy Spirit. If you’re looking for a perfect people, you won’t find them here. We are not a perfect people or church. But if you’re looking for perfect purpose and perfect joy, you’ll find it in the Gospel and person of Jesus Christ. He is all we have to offer. See you soon!

Location and service times

Services are held on Sundays at 10:30am. We encourage you to arrive at least 15 minutes before the service begins. This will give you a chance to grab a cup of coffee and a donut from our cafe or register your children with our children’s ministry, Kidz Rock. We are located right on Normandy Blvd:

Attire

WCC is a casual come as you are place. Shorts, jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, and flip flops are all welcome! If you like to dress up, suits and ties and dresses are welcome as well! Come however you feel most comfortable!

Worship that Reaches Heaven

Worship through music is one way to express our gratitude for all that God is, was, and will continue to be in spite of our failures and short comings. It prepares our mind to receive the Word of God and softens even the hardest hearts. No need to have it all together before you walk through the doors. It’s not about us; it’s all about Him!

Biblical Teaching

That’s it. Plain and simple, we teach the inerrant Word of God. If you have a bible, bring it with you. If you don’t, no worries, we’ll have one for you to take with you in the back of the sanctuary. You don’t have to be a bible scholar to hang with us; God’s word is designed to meet you where you are.

Who We Are

 

Westside Christian Church is a place where Jesus is transforming lives, one life at a time. WCC is made up of people from all walks of life who are being transformed by Jesus Christ and living like Him by seeking the lost, making disciples and showing compassion. It’s a place where you can feel at home. With a friendly come as you are environment and our main goal being to connect you to our awesome and loving God. Our vision and mission at WCC is a direct commissioning of Jesus Christ and is found in Matthew 28:19-20:

Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

To be honest, I often come away from those interviews feeling a bit envious of their clarity.

Food Pantry

The WCC Food Pantry proudly partners with Feeding Northeast Florida to help stop hunger on the west side of Jacksonville. We distribute food to the community on the 1st Saturday of every month at 9:00 a.m.
